Giunco

Giunco is an excellent table and grating pecorino cheese, made using only fresh sheep’s milk from pastures of Sardinia’s countryside. It shows the signs of the traditional reed basket used to model it and exalt its aromatic hints. Strong flavour, with a pleasant mix of dried fruits, toasted and spicy notes. It has an average weight of about 5 kg and a maturing period of at least 6 months. It is widely used, because of its aromatic flavour, both as table and grating cheese, it pairs well with Cannonau wine.
Giunco pepato (peppered) is a special version of this pecorino cheese and is characterised by the presence of peppercorns. It has a strong flavour, intense and unique, with hints of wood and wild flowers.
